Interesting atmosphere indeed. I wonder what it would be like to be in the conning tower, looking out over a calm ocean as the sun comes up. A majestic sight indeed.
I had a Uncle who served in WW11 in the Subs Mind you he did not a lot of good things to say about it all. As the sub left port it was all hands down hatches close and never seen sun light for may be three mths only a few of the crew got on the deck while they were hunting But they do look great the long attack subs Many thanks for the comment
