Description
The fate of many people. You have an accident while bathing or swimming, get a cramp in your leg and there is no one there to help you. You drown and are often never found again. A very lonely death.
Randy California, singer and guitarist of the band Spirit, drowned on January 2, 1997 while swimming in the sea off Molokaʻi, Hawaii. He and his twelve-year-old son Quinn got caught in a current that - after he had pushed his son to safety - pulled him out to sea. His body was never found either.
This was news that shocked me at the time, because I really liked his music and him as a person.
This series is dedicated to people like him.
