We keep hearing that states are testing nuclear weapons. I wonder whether the "tests" in Hiroshima and Nagasaki weren't enough for all time! What do you want to prove, what do you want to achieve?
Unfortunately, the political situation in the world is such that a nuclear threat scenario is always being built up when politicians do not achieve what they hoped for in their wars using conventional means (see the current war between Russia and Ukraine).
What do they hope to achieve by contaminating areas with nuclear weapons? How sick is the mindset behind such scenarios?
For all our sakes, let's hope that no one is so paranoid that they actually press the red button at some point.

The Hiroshima and Nagasaki nukes were mere firecrackers compared with what's sitting on top of ICBMs now. Hopefully the current crop of lunatics running countries have enough sense to realize what would happen if they launched a nuclear attack. No one would "win". All of us would lose.
