Hello everybody :-)
This evening I want to share with you this capture made in Gérardmer, a town located in the Vosges mountains in the northeastern part of France.
Gérardmer is well known for its lake and for beeing a skiing station in winter.
Alas, with global warming, there is less ans less snow in winter season because the Vosges area low range mountains...
That's why inhabitants of Gérardmer, named Géromois, have developped the summer tourism including luxuous hotels with spa and gastronomy or hiking and climbing.
Gérardmer also hosts every year the Festival of Fantastic film. This year, the Presidents were Bernard Werber and Bernard Minier, two famous french writters of thrillers or fantastic books.
I had a stroll yesterday evening at the lake with my husband and I liked the atmosphere of the scene so I've captured it with my camera :-)

Un bien bel endroit qui me semble fort reposant, comme le sont souvent les bords de lacs dans la soirée...ta superbe photo nous dit bien le côté enchanteur du lieu. Profitez-en bien. Chez nous, il faut aller hercher les lacs d'altitude pour échapper à la forte chaleur.

belle photo! Avec toi j'apprends des choses : d'une part le nom des habitants de Gérardmer et d'autre part que tu apprécies Werber et Minier. moi aussi. Le premier est de Toulouse, ville où j'ai passé toute ma jeunesse et suivi mes études; l'autre a situé pas mal de ses romans près de chez moi, dans le sud de la Haute-Garonne, romans dont le principal protagoniste est un flic toulousain.

Une magnifique photo d'ambiance pour ce coin des Vosges qui m'est très familier. J'aime beaucoup le rendu du côté paisible et inspirant de ce lieu, qui en journée n'a pas du tout la même atmosphère. Je souris également en constatant que ta photo laisse de côté les nombreux kayaks que l'on voit sur le lac, activité que j'aime pratiquer toutes les fois où je vais là-bas! Sinon, tu as mentionné Bernard Minier dans ta présentation, un écrivain de polars très doué et populaire dans sa catégorie, à juste titre. Cette photo superbe de Gérardmer est une réussite, chapeau la Souris !
