UPDATE: The storm is just going to brush by where I live, so maybe some rain and small amount of wind at most. Very thankful as everyone here was very worried. Now I feel for those in Corpus Christi and Houston. Thanks for everyone's good wishes and prayers. Very much appreciated.

I live not far from Brownsville and South Padre Island Texas. Hurricane Berly will be very near us by tomorrow evening. We are hoping it will go just a bit more to the east before heading north. Keep us in your thoughts tomorrow and Monday. Will be online as I can if the power grid holds and the winds are not too great.

I feel ever so guilty now, moaning about the rain... and it's nothing compared to what you have to face :-( The image says it all, nice work (under terrific pressure) Hope you and yours pull through ok. Don't know what else to say, I've never spoken to anyone in this situation before.

I know what your going through. I lived in south east Texas for 11 years and gone through many hurricanes. Hope you get through it in one piece.
