Description
An iteration of a "Seaplane-of-the-Future" done a few years back when I was drawing Underground Comix. The notion was, that in a future of far-flung planet empires, not all could keep up an industrial base that would support high-tech items like anti-grav flyers. When items wore out, people would re-adopt older technologies to make do. This plane appeared on Gunturk, a water world with scattered island archipeligos, some of which were quite large, but nonetheless quite far apart.
Until now, the A-2 existed only on paper. In 3D, I'm wondering about proportions. Is the tail assembly too large, or, the wings need to be larger? I'd like to hear some opinions.

Everything looks good to me. The horizontal tail wings may seem small, but if you look at WW2 fighter planes, most have the same general weight distribution, and the rear wings weren't too big... at least not as big as modern planes.
I like the proportions of everything as well as the impression that the illustration gives. I wish you'd spent a little more time on the fuselage..looks like rather difficult cross section work I admit . But still a good effort.
There will be some more work on the fuselage. [such as: a windscreen] How much will depend on how close I'll be putting the camera. The cross-section was really quite simple. It's a 9-sided cylinder, flat side up, pointy side down. I arranged the points in the front view to get the basic cross section, then in the top view sized the cross section points down to form the pointed front end, then lifted them in the side view. After that, it was just minor tweaking.
Using the vertex editor. Good man. Tidal- but they look DENSE, too. Thick and short? They just look like deadweights to me. They could at least be thinner.
Man your imagination is teriffic. I love the stringer bumps in the wing and pontoons. I can't do anything decent in the vertex editor I applaude you. Keep up the great work
