Humber River

A very swift River that seems to flow overland at high Flows (Driftwood) sometimes. Strange that it is always transporting many Sediments and never becomes calm and clear !?
Well, it passes through a large area, so I guess there's always something else falling in :)
Hopefully its not People falling in! ;) I took a closer look and the Situation is fairly complex: Driven by a fan-like Watershed it has a lot of Water coming constantly and like a Pulse sometimes after Rains. In the middle Reaches, there seem to be glacial Deposits that can be eroded very easily. The high Baseline-Erosion may be a Consequence of the Deforestation by the British Settlers. Very interesting and a great Gift (but also a Danger). Lucky the Ones living in such an interesting Area! :)
Oh yes, they always warned us at school not to go near the river when it rains; as far as I know, no one's fallen in but, best to be careful! Apparently, it's also great for canoeing down, as well, though I've never tried it :)
Yes, better to enjoy the powerful and elevating View of Your "little thundering Waters" and not to hop in! ;)
Very true XD
