Description
A particularly effective group of carnivorous theropods of the late Cretaceous were the raptors. They were agile, relatively small compared to the giants of their time, hunted in groups, were highly intelligent according to scientific assessments and even took on the large carnivores of their time; according to more recent assessments, some of them had something like feathers and may have vaguely resembled our modern birds of prey.
My set therefore depicts these predators mostly with feathers.

Very clear images. I read an article that said if the dinosaurs had not been wiped out, that the raptors would have evolved into the dominant intelligent species on the planet instead of us. - Bob
This cannot be denied. Raptors were by far the most intelligent of their time. They were organized, structured in groups, thought tactically and had evidently developed strategies for solving problems. If they had continued like this, they would certainly have become the dominant species in the long term and mammals would probably not have achieved the boom they experienced after the comet impact. It is more than questionable whether humanoid or similar mammals such as monkeys or vervet monkeys would ever have reached the position they hold now...which of course includes us humans. Well, in any case, Terra would not have been as messed up under raptor rule as it has unfortunately become under our dominance.
