Hello !
I seldom upload several images but this time I wanted to make a tribute to my departement : la Moselle. Moselle is located in the north eastern part of France, on the borderline with Germany and Luxembourg.
I love the rural landscapes in Moselle. This pictures were captured today near Metz in Marsal. Marsal is a small village that already existed during late Prehistorical time. It was a rich town during Antiquity and Middle Ages because inhabitants of Marsal extracted rock salt that was very important for preserving food.
Nowadays, there is an interesting museum about this salt extraction and Marsal is a very quiet village.

Je suis doublement touché, par la beauté de ces photos et de ces paysages et par ton témoignage d'amitié. Un immense merci. Je suis allé dans ta région, il y a bien longtemps pour une réunion universitaire en vue de créer des programmes d'échange d'étudiants au niveau européen...ce devai être en 1985 ! Depuis ? Je dois avouer à ma grande honte que je n'y suis pas retourné et tes photos démontrent que j'ai tort !

Une ancienne porte d'octroi
Je reviens pour constater que tu n'as pas chômé ici et ces très belles photos de ton département favori, sous ce soleil de printemps, donnent envie de visiter ces paysages apaisants, avec la marque d'une histoire qui n'a pas été sans répit pour que notre pays stabilise ses frontières telles qu'on les connait aujourd'hui.
