Intriguing. Something about those spirals in Image #1 makes me suspect them of being alive and sentient ... must be all that Star Trek fanfic I've been binging on lately. One of the very best had a race of crystal formation aliens that seemed to be part of the rather exotic landscape -- until things got interesting. Food for thought, eh?
