Description
"I can trace the terrible dreams and night horrors that have plagued my sleeping hours back to the first time I opened that damnable book, but in the months that followed I had grown somewhat accustomed to them and they had ceased to fill me with dread.
Until this morning that is, when the act of opening my eyes had failed to drive the malignant entities away, and they had looked upon me with the same delight as a child looks upon a freshly unwrapped Christmas present, only with a more hideous intent."
(93 words - Inspired by H.P.Lovecraft - and some unusual personal experiences..)
Second of my three entries for the 2021 Writers Halloween Contest: 2 Sentence Horror Stories, this was entry #24

That is a seriously well written bit of prose.
Thanks, I had a lot of fun putting it together, a pastiche of my recollections of H P Lovecraft's style of writing.
