Description
A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away Hivewire3D held a "Feed The Muse" render contest. I managed one proper entry, but also had some ideas that I was unable to do in time, and then couldn't be bothered to do. But what I did manage to do was to write descriptions of what the finished pictures would look like.
Feed The Muse "...By Redirecting All Sensory Input"
The scene is a lakeside with five side-by-side jetties, probably ramshackle wooden ones.
At the lakeward end of each jetty is a sensory organ on a pole. The first jetty has a nose on a pole, sniffing away; the second has an eyeball looking around; the third has an ear moving in whatever way ears move; the fourth has a tongue licking the air around it; and the fifth has a hand performing touchy feely motions. At the landward end short paths extend to a six way junction, with the sixth path leading to a huge pulsating brain on the top of a hillock. However, sitting in the middle of this path is a huge ugly slobbering monster, threatening anything that comes close. In front of the creature but beyond its reach, it being too obese to move, is a barrier with a "Road Closed" sign. Slightly offset from this is a "Diversion" sign with an arrow pointing to a far less obvious path leading... well, we can't actually see where it leads. The sign by this path says simply "Scenic Route".
