Navarre headed for the bridge exit.
"Blue, you have the con. Seil, once I get confirmation of our funds, you will commence uncoupling the cargo pods."
"The con?" Blue stammered in awe as she stared after him.
"Aye, Captain." The man replied with a curt nod.
"And get to the transporter room. I'll meet you there as soon as I pick up some items from my quarters."
"By you side, Captain." La'Ahna stated as she turned to follow him.
"Not a chance." He shook his head. "You will remain on ship." He then passed through the doors.
"The con?" Blue again stammered.
"I am his Guardian." La'Ahna proclaimed in surprise. "That is my purpose."

like being on guard duty. nothing really going on, but still alert.
Guard duty? Had my share of that, many years ago as an Army Cadet. Guard duty during the night - 2 hours on, 2 off. Not my cup of tea.
i don't miss it either. gate guard was the worst. ten hours on post. dealing with incoming officers could be an ordeal.

thank you. the last month has been all go go. part of the time i just slept in the truck for a few hours then hit again.
