Description
A Study in Lighting (Part2)
This image was created using only 1 radial light at maximum brightness to simulate the light from the sun. The light was set off to the right of the ship at about 20 ship lengths. No color was added to the light and this is the results. Model created in Bryce from scratch, all concepts and designs by me. The image of Mars from JPL/NASA Mars Global Surveyor, starfield created in Universe. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my work and have a great weekend!

A light roughly in the color and on the place where mars is would do good on the parts in the shadow of sun. Mars is still one of the brightest objects in the nightsky, and so close to a planet it is going to act like a lightsource. Just for the rest of the comments, excellent work and very inspiring, although i will keep to the Earth&Moon systeem for the moment ^_^
It's beautiful, David. It really has the light of a sci-fi movie, dramatic and stark as I aspect to be in space.
I hope you used multiple replicate! :) Excellent work as usual.
wow, once again you created a very realistic spac scene. keep up the good work!
