Description
This was probably the best result I ever got with fractals.
Main image is a GIMP edit of an Apophysis fractal.
Second is the original fractal.
Third is that fractal after a bit of judicious tweaking
Fourth is the tweaked and original fractals overlaid.
Fifth is my first GIMP edit of it.

i like the first one
I did too originally (it was actually nine years ago that I first posted this elsewhere). But as I repost it here I'm thinking that I prefer the less saturated colours of the third image. I still think mirroring the left side to the right was a masterstroke ! ;o)

Thanks. It's a shame that Apophysis kept crashing on my computer - gave up on it after a short while.
