Description
"Northern Lights Academy Chess Club"
I joined a group project on Deviantart.com the NLA Project
The March challenge was to choose at least one of other members to illustrate clubs and activities. My two characters on left are Janice Swiftwater and Princess. The two on the right are Dellight and Br'er Bunny created by USAUgirl on Deviantart.com
Janice is actually a phenomenal chess player while Princess is eager to learn. Her parents suggested joining the club to learn how use her head when dealing with certain situations. Dellight is a French boy with ice powers while Br'er is similar to my Bouncing Betty character with rabbit like superpower only her appearance is more animal like and she actually only attends the academy for education and choosing a career path.

Form her expression I would guess she is loosing to the bunny. Fun image
You right about her losing to the bunny. Princess is a little pensive about her first move. Luckily her classmates are happy to help learn the game.

This is really original! Lot's of attention to detail (like the reflection of the opposite wall in the mirror over the fireplace). As always, your characters and their background engage me. Thanks for sharing, Randy! =)

Thanks Molly. I got the room at a discount and figured it would be a great setting for this chess club scene. All the details made the render time longer but worth it in the long run. I'm always happy when people enjoy the characters I create. Even though Bunny and Dell aren't my characters I tried to have match my style. I want to touch up Bunny's texture for future renderings.
