It collects any sounds coming from space and keeps a recording of them for others to analyze. 2nd image: About a mile away from the sound collector is this huge, nearly self-sustaining, base camp housing 100 people and their sensitive, highly secretive, analytical equipment. The people who work here have top secret security clearance and work on six month tours. 3rd image: About a month ago, a surface exploration team discovered this cave and the strange light producing object that was set back into the wall.
