Description
Modeled and rendered in LightWave. These basic textures were done in Photoshop. The concept sketches were scanned in and used as a background image during the render, but all text was added on later in postwork.
I'd been browsing through the Star Wars Visual Dictionary, and thought I'd give this illustrative style a try. The Drone Trooper will be making its appearance as a commercial product for Poser, done in partnership with stonemason.

delightful. its always harder to conceive 'cool' designs than model them, and your concept is excellent. one question though, whats going on at the inside of that right elbow joint? large metal projection from the forearm seems to be crossing into the upper arm.. Id fix that. Shaun
