Larry's Surprise 2
Larry makes his way over and peers into the engine compartment.
"I used to have one just like this. My parents bought it for me, brand new, when I graduated in 1967," Larry reminisced, "Did you have it restored?"
"No," the girl says, "my dad and I pulled it from a junk yard and restored it ourselves. It was a daddy-daughter project."
Pointing to the old pump at the end of the island, Larry says to her, "53.2 cents a gallon, why, heck, when I had my SS in '67, it was only 31.9 cents/gallon."
They both laughed as they both topped their tanks at $4.59 9/10 per gallon.
