The puppy sees him reaching for something. So he finds it must be something.
I thought the pink ears were part of the design, but I see on the webpage that they are not pink. It did say it couldn't find a file. That must have been the texture for the ears. But his ears had texture until I applied the face.
Fixed the pink ears in the second image.

Superfly will render pink any texture that is missing the texture map. It might not be the expected result, but I don't think it detracts from the image. And the puppy is too cute
