looks like so many old barns in Texas. wonderful render
Appreciate the comment.
I googled why so many barns were painted red in the first place... ;)
(I'll go back to some missed images in my next visit...but I wanted to end with your latest):
This has a very nostalgic feeling, beautiful muted tones w/ great rust hues and rusty reds. And the textures of the barn are perfect. Old barns in the midwest stand like ornery beasts, refusing to give into anything---and I mean anything---they say "I ain't movin', people, so keep on walking..." They have a dignity all their own. This has that feeling. And to rhol-figament's research about reds in barns, (in case you didn't know it---you may!), it's because they mixed rust with the paint because rust was a good sealant, and also kept away certain animals. Your second image is even more gloriously dilapidated. (I luuuuv dilapidated barns.) Wonderful moody images, Lyla. I'm sure you have them in Texas like we do here. (Well, not in Chicago! I mean way out in the boonies...)
No I didn't know why they were red. Very interesting. I don't know about many of these old barns here in Texas but there are many back in Kansas where I am originally from.
Thanks for the comment.
Fabulous old barns, wonderful details and colours, love the aspect ratio of the #2...image..16.9...?
Is 768 x512 the same as 16:9? lol I think I then resized it to make it bigger but the same ratio. Thanks for the comment.
