I wrote this poem several years ago when I was using writing to express my feelings. I invite you to intermit it as your feel but I'm going to explain what I was expressing whenever I wrote it, I respect your right to your feelings & would never ask you to change them unless it is your will. In this poem I express how we go through life with many ups & downs, but I have always looked to my destiny promised by my Lord that there is a wonderful place & home waiting for us at the end of the journey to our destiny, that makes it easier to get through those rough times. My Destiny In The Distance I can see my destiny in the distance, I know out there is a place for me. I have searched for this all my life, Not knowing where it might be. I have traveled down so many roads, That has winded through and fro. I was looking for that special place, Where my life was destined to go. Some days I have prayed to My Lord, To speed my long journey’s end. I know in those times He heard me, Because I would meet a special friend. It seems when my heart was burdened, I would get just a glimpse of my destiny. And that would renew my hopeful heart With how my life shall one day be. Now I look out across that stormy sea, In a distance, I can see that castle home. I know one day soon I will make it there, And my weary heart will never again roam. Copyright M. Doris Fuller
