In most of your lavish interiors (interiors in beautiful mansions, etc), you still create an intimate feeling. This almost feels like the cabin of a boat, with dark shadows and strong somewhat-low ceiling and beautiful interior lighting.

I love the two swirling christmas trees, and the golden light, and the expression on your model---she looks like she's anxiously awaiting her lover. A warm inviting image...the rich and noble, here, are still human in your image...which is endearing.

I hate this rich, decadent bunch, if they gave away some of their insatiable wealth, if no child in the world had to die of starvation etc., this miserable rabble would have to disappear from this planet, then the rest of humanity would certainly be a little better off.

Ute...First, thank you for all your replies, I appreciate every one of them! Second, I fully understand your feelings about "the one percent" (as we call them in the U.S.A.)---those rare few people who have half or more of the wealth of the world. And how much better the world would be if they shared their wealth generously. I did years of service, working with homeless people and sick people; and I saw how even a little help could make a world of difference in their lives; and how a lot of help could change them completely. It was incomprehensible that many more rich people couldn't help their fellow humans in poverty and pain. (Some of the people I helped were single mothers supporting 2 children, working 2 jobs for small pay, with barely any time for themselves. Those mothers see the rich paying tiny, tiny taxes, while they---those single mothers who earn barely enough to survive---pay full taxes. The inequalities go on and on. So I understand what you wrote

My only point was about you, not about the rich: Ie, that, even with people you don't relate to, who you wish would do so much more for their human brothers and sisters, you still imbue them with real humanity and vulnerability and heart. I realize you'd rather create characters who aren't "swimming in money," as we say in the States. But you have a lot of love and light in you, and it pours into everything you do, from rich characters to poor, from old to young, from well-off to war-torn. That's a compliment to you...ie, that your light and love shows up in all your art. So I appreciate your comment, but I just want to add that you put light and love into everything you create...and that is a great strength in you. If more people did that, maybe there'd be no more starvation or war. (Or Putins.) I wish many good things for you this year Ute. I hope you find relief.
