Hello Rendosians ! I'm glad to be back again on the site :-) Today's picture is a photography of Auxerre, a french town located in region Bourgogne- Franche Comté in the eastern part of France. The river in the foreground is named Yonne and is an affluent of the Seine. In France, Auxerre is known for its soccer team (AJ Auxerre), especially when Guy Roux was the trainer. He was described to be very paternalist and avaricious but AJ Auxerre won several trophies and cups thanks to him. The other star of Auxerre is Cadet Roussel who lived there in the late 18th century and early 19th century. His behavior was so special he became the subject of a children song, Cadet Roussel a trois maisons written in 1792. Nowadays, he has a statue on a place of the town. Auxerre is not far from the wineyards that produce the famous Chablis, a white wine. *************************** Je dedicace cette photo à mon ami gaius ! Que puis-je dire devant tant de beauté et tant de gentillesse ? Sinon chapeau bas devant l'artiste...je suis ébahi d'autant que j'ai vu Auxerres par temps gris et froid !Et mille mercis...je suis la cadet de ma lignée mais pas Roussel bien que de la Croix-Rousse ! et je n'ai qu'une maison !

Une photo panoramique superbement réussie dans les règles de l'art, baignant dans une lumière estivale intense et tonifiante en comparaison de la grisaille de Novembre. La perspective avec l'Yonne au premier plan, majestueuse, donne une vision très pittoresque de la ville. En plus, les infos sur les célébrités d'Auxerre sont intéressantes et inédites pour moi, qui suis pourtant venu une seule fois dans cette charmante ville, pour mon travail, du temps où l'EN était assez généreuse et intelligente pour faire se rencontrer les collègues d'autres départements lors des oraux d'examens.
