La jeune Ariane au pays des cartes postales V
Ariane avait continué Sud-Ouest vers la cité inca mythique de Machu Picchu. Là elle n’avait pas pu résister à se mettre en scène. Ayant acheté une copie de vase ancien dans une échoppe pour touristes, elle s’était donnée l’image d’une archéologue de cinéma : courageuse, belle et sexy. Alors qu’elle cherchait la meilleure lumière pour son autoportrait, elle sentit quelque chose d’humide dans son cou et sur sa joue.

Ariane had continued southwest towards the mythical Inca city of Machu Picchu. There she could not resist putting herself on the stage. Having bought a copy of an ancient vase in a tourist shop, she had given herself the image of a film archaeologist: courageous, beautiful and sexy. As she searched for the best light for her self-portrait, she felt something wet in her neck and on her cheek.

Ce Lama est à la fois ce qui participe de l'image du voyage : associé aux ruines de Machu Picchu, il fait partie du cliché traditionnel pour touristes, et ce qui devient l'élément déclencheur de la transition avec l'image suivante. Dans cette série, chaque action déclenchée dans un paysage se répercute, se métamorphose dans la scène suivante, qui n'est pas tout à fait un réveil (cf Little Nemo in Slumberland), mais une façon différente de prolonger le rêve de voyage.
