This one was very difficult to create because I only got basic blueprints 5 or 6 years ago and, as always, these blueprints were ugly and wrongs. But it's impossible to find blueprints of these heavy-duty GMC trucks. By chance, it's possible to upload many photos from the web. The "Speed Line" styling is the new advanced GMC truck appearance for 1955.This design was the same in 1956 and 1957. All cab and unit body models feature a new one-piece full wrap-around panoramic windshield. A completely new V8 engine was available with mechanical or Hydramatic transmission. The 6-cylinder gasoline engines were more powerful. A new 800 series diesel engine is introduced. Many different wheelbases were available. 52 4-WHEEL conventional-gasoline models were available. 36 4-WHEEL C.O.E.-gasoline models were available. 4 4-WHEEL conventional-diesel models were available. 4 4-WHEEL C.O.E.-diesel models were available. 8 6-WHEEL conventional-gasoline models were available. 4 6-WHEEL C.O.E.-gasoline models were available. 3 6-WHEEL conventional-diesel models were available. 4 6-WHEEL C.O.E.-diesel models were available. Including the 9 different school buses and the 2 package delivery trucks, 128 different GMC truck models were available in 1955!
