Victoria 9 First Impressions
Well, DAZ is doing the nickel and dime stuff with the G9 line. Victoria 9HD is bare minimum. You can't even change much of the shape with the provided shaping morphs.
They fixed the giraffe neck that G8 had. The proportions seem a lot better with Victoria 9, and her face is more pleasing to look at.
I had to convert everything she's got on her body using auto-fit. Auto-fit does not work with shoes from G8. We'll see if others in the DAZ forum are having this issue.
Outfit she's wearing was a kitbash with pieces from Lully and Zoro_d, as well as a DAZ vendor.

I share your point ; we can't craft G9 the way we could with G8 ; G8/8.1 clothes sometimes look weird and -or is it just me ?- dforce simulation doesn't work. That said, your image is superb.
Oh? I haven't tried dForce on G9 yet. I'll comment about it when I give dForce +G9 a whirl.

Loaded and tested Vickie 9 yesterday - agree with the bare bones offering. i think the model has potential but I'm leaving her in reserve until more add-ons and scripts arrive to make use of items already purchased. Riversoft is probably on the case already.
Recognize the clothing and hair - have it all myself so at least some things work. Shoes remind me of trying to use G2s on G8 figures. Haven't tried other skins yet...
Glad to see somebody posted V9, though....
I have a few converters to convert to G8 from various other generations. They seem to work better than auto-fit. I hope they come out with hair, pose, wardrobe and morph converters for G8 to G9.

Thank you. I do like doing expressions better on G9. So often, trying to get a natural looking mouth out of G8 is a real challenge.
Well, everyone, and update on footwear and auto fit. Do the auto fit of the footwear before doing ANYTHING else on V9. I found that worked on the footware I tried. And, Genesis footwear converted wonderfully.
It is certainly very pretty, but the morphs are very limited, I imagine they will pay...
I agree. I think the original owner sold the business to a big tech company. Dan Farr started the business, but I think he's moved on and left the company to folks who don't have the vision he had.
