Old hippies are crazy diamonds that keep on shining.
This is a new brief series that I am exploring. There were basically 4 kinds of hippies, back to earth, urban, fashion followers, and hangers-on hoping to score in the new libertine wave. Many people of the younger generations have confused the hippies of the "boomer" generation with the more materialistic "Yuppies" ("young upwardly-mobile professionals") The hippies brought end of conscription, awareness of environmental conditions, voting at age 18, and awareness and appreciation of social diversity and...the wide availability of heathy food! The Yuppies were dressed conservatively, strove for power in law and business world, maintained a drive for more monetary gain, and in general were the total opposite of hippies. Think John Laroquette characters.
