Description
Back a long time ago, Janet's dad took us camping "down by the river", somewhere of a wide ploughed field with deep furrows of dark pink and light pink. We stopped at the end of a road, where there was a small crossing bridge over an irrigation canal. It was high summer, and hot. Janet brought her transistor radio tuned to the top 40 of rock. It was so hot, that we used a saucepan from the camper to pour irrigation water over our feet. About every 10 minutes, the top 40 dj would put on one of the popular tunes that went "She wore an itsy bitsy teeney weeney yellow polka dot bikini". I don't remember any other songs that were played. Janet and I sat for quite a long time talking about stuff on the bridge. It was just too hot to move.
Yes, there is some bad graininess and speckles. I like to think it's a "photo of the mind". I used a filter to make the scene less perfect sharpness in some postwork.

Beautiful work, and a fantastic memory!
Thank you for your compliment.
Looks like a nice contrast between aged photo and soft memory. Lovely capture of your memory
Thank you for your kind words.
Yes, I recognise that song from Brian Hyland so very well, and now I've that song in my head ;-). I love the mood you've created here, just if you can see the heat-damp and the attitude from the two girlfriends to each other is so well created.
Thank you for the positive critique. It's a very catchy tune...
