Description
Raquel had a hot date tonight. She had just finished putting on her jewelry and giving her hair a final fluff, when her Dad yelled “Tornado spotted! Get to the storm shelter!” This was NOT how Raquel had planned to spend her evening. She sat on the upper bunk watching her parents bent over the portable radio monitoring the tornado’s progress while her little brother paced around whining about his video games. When she finally got out of this town, she was going to live somewhere that no one even knew what a tornado was.

Poor girl, every place has a downside, whether it's tornados, or hurricanes, or earthquakes, or floods, or heat, or cold. It's just a lesson she's going to have to experience. Some day she'll think nostalgically on how good she had it.
