Hello Rendosians !
Here is another picture from my vacation. I've visited the famous Mont Saint-Michel, a famous islet located in Normandie, France.
Mont Saint-Michel is the third most visited place in France just behind the Eiffel Tower and Versailles.
Indeed, the architecture of the abbey dedicated to the archangel Michel, the landscape and the beautiful view make this place so special and attract many tourists (about 2,5 millions per year)
In days of high tides, Mont Saint-Michel becomes an island surrounded by seawater. This outstanding phenomenon happens 53 days per year.
It is told that the water arrives at the speed of a running horse : it is certainly exaggerated.
Mont Saint-Michel and the bay are listed on UNESCO's World Heritage since 1979 !

Une très belle photo du Mont, un lieu magique et inoubliable que j'ai eu le bonheur de visiter plusieurs fois déjà. Le premier plan tout en végétation fait un peu oublier que ce site célébrissime est redevenu une île, mais avec ou sans eau autour, l'histoire de cet endroit reste un symbole fort à notre époque, à plus d'un titre, religieux ou culturel. Bravo !
