Description
a student named Delbert and myself took audio visual equipment to class rooms needing to show movies. at that time Delbert was about 6'8" or 6'10".
I was far shorter and some students would call us "Mutt and Jeff". it was funny then and more so now 61 years later.
I had always thought of Delbert over the years. anyway someone told my friend John that Delbert was not alive any more. today I found out that Delbert is very much alive, which must make Delbert very happy.
I was talking to a man that was around 7 feet tall. I mentioned to him that being short bothered me some when I was young."But I finally realized that being short made me a smaller target. He told me with a smile "well thanks a lot" "I never thought of it that way"

An excellent image and thought provoking commentary! Bravo!
Cool picture, and that's a great story!
COOL
Great story. Thanks for sharing a great memory. Cool image of what looks like an old western movie set.
Wonderful story. Superb capture.
Super story and scene!
Love the story and the image , my step fathers name was Delbert and when I was very young we lived in a very small town with the store fronts that looked exactly like this...it hasn't grown much because it sits just below the summit of a pass in Washington state...when I saw this image come up in notifications I had to come, brought back lots of memories so thank you for that:-)
I'm short, too... hey, we rarely hit our heads on anything, so that's a plus. LOL I'm glad your friend is alive! This image is very, very cool.
LOL... "Smaller target..." Ranpha just gave you a double thumbs-up! 👍👍
That is so good to learn your friend is still with us. Great shot and effects on this scene, Richard!
Great story and capture!
