YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE MY GOOD FRIEND.
I got a rather worrying Wattsapp text from who on first inspection I thought was our dog breeder friend.
Then I looked again, in partial disbelief and it was Barry's young Wife, telling me the funeral was TODAY!
Three weeks after he had died!
Oh, I have been thinking about him ALL day today, in particular, because I couldn't go to the Funeral, with so little notice.
Barry was probably one of the nicest fellas it has been my privilege to know. Nothing was too much trouble. A REAL friend you could really rely upon.
My thoughts go out to Barry's partner and his Father who travelled back from abroad especially to be with him in his retirement.
I have rabbited on far too long, but I am so sorry he has passed from a gigantic Stroke.
He leaves behind a string of real friends who I hear had a really meaningful meeting after the service.
Thank you for putting up with my mutterings but it will take a long time to get over the loss of such a powerful friend.

The Heavenly Father gave us all these emotions to experience while we are here on the earthly plain. Some of them aren't all that pleasant but they are surely meant to teach us a lesson and broaden our horizons. We it not for the people we meet along the way and the impact they have on our lives, we certainly would miss out on a lot of chances to grow spiritually. I feel the emotions you must be going through at this time Steve and I am glad you are strong enough to man up and march through them no matter the difficulty! Our emotions of sadness and loss are definitely triggered in these times! I have you in my thoughts and prayers, my good friend! A very fine tribute to Barry you have done here!
