Description
The dragons dive and swoop over the ten ladies on the motorcycles until they reach the entrance
to the dance platform where the final ritual of reception will take place. The street crowds
rush over to the platform not wanting to miss out on the spectacle that happens at the end of
the ceremony.
The details of the ritual are quite specific and have been worked out and modified over the
centuries to adapt to the times they are performed in. The last time the dragons came for their
tribute, 25 years ago, the girls all rode in on spotless white horses. That had been the
tradition for several hundreds of years. But with the advent of the mechanized age, the mode of
transportation has been upgrated to the spotless white motorcycles.
As the girls turn into the space in front of the dance platform, the five dragons asume their
respective positions on the various platform levels. The girls park their motorcycles in two
neat rows and slowly proceed to their places in front of the various dragons.
The crowd presses closer to the platform, everyone not wanting to miss a single detail of this
ancient ritual. As the last of the girls steps up onto the platform, a strange wind comes up
out of nowhere. There is a shimmering in the sky that slowly descends toward the platform.
The air around the five dragons begins to glow and shimmer as well. The dragons begin to lose
the sharpness of their features as they begin to lose focus. The crowd roars in approval as
they know what will happen next! Everyone is breathless in anticipation!

I like the shimmering effect in the image on the right. I'm supposing you used some kind of motion blurring to achieve it although the wings remain in sharp focus; maybe it was a post effect? Interesting, in any event. Thanks for sharing I enjoyed viewing.

Many thanks for your observations and kind words, Molly! I greatly appreciate your excellent eyes for detail! Yes, I copied the main body parts of the dragons and posted them on a different layer in Photoshop then used a directional motion blur and reduced opacity to 80%. I hope the next one or two (and final ones) images for this series don't disappoint. I have some things in mind and a back story with more details. Stay tuned for further developments!
