sweet counterpoint between the long train and the angled Santa Fe car in front. I love the color contrast too...And the yellow crossing sign is a sweet contrast to the Santa Fe car. Plus you have those railings. A very linear shot, with lots of linear counterpoint. Very pleasing---and you used the right landscape mode to capture all the lines.
Chicago has some of the hugest railyards in the world (having been a rail capital for many years). Today, they're often huuuge and abandoned, and you see these abandoned cars all over the place, like old relatives put out to rest. They're bleak and empty but strangely beautiful. And when the light hits the massive numbers of tracks, it's like a huge lit-up maze. Magical places, rail yards...
