Few people know this but the initial draft of the Bangles big hit was actually "Sit Like an Egyptian." But, it didn't seem to have that catch phrase or hook to it. I guess that's because everyone basically sits in the same manner and there's really nothing all that exciting about it. But now walking like an Egyptian . . . . HEY! Now, that's the ticket! And so, the song evolved into what we know it as today.
So, you can chose to believe this historical fact or not. That's up to you. But, I got it straight from Mr. Peabody and Sherman. And, I find it very hard to dispute any facts that they support.

Fantastic image, great colors and as always, impeccable composition. The funny thing is when I read the title I immediately started singing the song and didn't realise that it said "sit" instead of "walk" until I read your notes, lol!
