Description
The Siberian Trapp is an extensive flood basalt (Trapp) in Siberia. The volcanic eruptions responsible for this form one of the largest known volcanic events in the history of the earth and took place around 252 million years ago at the Permian-Triassic boundary. The eruptions and their consequences are brought into a causal connection with the mass extinction at the end of the Permian. One country took advantage of this, and installed the ultimate doomsday device in the 50-60 years of the last century above a so-called volcanic hotspot. Should it be detonated, a volcanic eruption of gigantic proportions would take place and it would probably mean the end of human civilization as we know it.
OK, I guess my imagination has run away with me a bit, but as we've seen over the past few days, one mad despot with nuclear weapons is enough, to throw humanity into chaos.
My thoughts are with the people of Ukraine.
I'm feeling again a little better today, I hope the virus will say goodbye soon.
