wonderful work on this series, Ute. More of your masterful use of color, sheen, texture, and costume. They're all beautifully dressed. And you have dramatic light and shadow too. These portraits seem to be in night clubs, or photographic studios. They have a photographic feel. Or like she is posing for a theatrical event. This image is typical: Great use of deep purples, with wonderful sheen. And you have purples in her hair-bows (lighter purples, but purples). And her skin tone has some purple in it---esp in her eye makeup. The background wood has purples too. And you've framed her in a white frame---it looks like neon---behind her. Terrific series. I hope people saw these full size. I like when you do variations; you make each one different, while still keeping the underlying theme...
