Description
She moved towards the central structure; unaffected by the pulsing light blue energy field that flickered within.
She hesitated at the step. Her eyes covered over the length of the skeleton that lay half buried in soil and grass.
A hint of satisfaction stirred within her as she surmised what had occurred. This human had attempted to breach the barrier. She could only imagine his horror as the energy field burned away his flesh and repelled him at the same instant. It would not of have taken but a micro-second, but it was instantly fatal.
"One less." She whispered softly as though to the skeletal remains. She then stepped onto the outer dias and proceeded towards the energy field.
