Description
This delightful new character will be joining Velvet in her story. I've been lacking direction in that for a time, but now I think I've got some direction. Something more like a series of short stories instead of a long adventure, meeting various characters and such. I think Burlap is going to turn out to be not so nice, but who knows what will happen once the words fly.
Did this up last night just to see how well she rendered. I'm liking it, even if the building is a little too low-quality for close-ups.
LIFE UPDATE: Got Mom home again. She tested positive for COVID (This is the second time in the last three months) and even though the doctor was certain it was a false reading, she has to go to a COVID-isolated dialysis clinic. It's about an hour drive - too far to drop her off and come home. So today I just hung out and waited. Gas is too expensive not to. I'm very tired.
My aunt also passed away this evening. We got the news just after we got home. She was simply the best. I always tell people that they should be jealous they don't have an aunt Beulah. We just saw her Thursday, and somehow I knew that would be the last time I ever saw her. It's going to take time to process everything.
I'm hanging in there. Just tired.

A lot on your plate Lyle - a wonder you finished anything under the circumstances.
Textures on the walls are a bit off but there's plenty of good stone sets out there and it's an easy fix. Then again, stone is always a little shaky in close ups on account of the need for a lot of bump or more than applied surfaces.
Worse, it's supposed to be wood. From one of the recent "Fantasy Structures" set. Released last month. I've seen better textures on gen 4 stuff. Kinda disappointing. If I use the building again, I'll spend some time trying to make the walls look nicer for a closeup. I think these were intended for backdrop use. Which isn't all that useful.
Heck, Khalh has released some buildings in the freebie section that look much nicer than this.
Anywho. Today I'm exhausted. I'm trying to finish a scene, but I think maybe I should just try to lay down while I got the chance.
Sorry to hear about your mother and your Aunt my friend you do have a lot to deal with my thoughts are with you...Wonderful image she looks like an awesome character.
Well worth the purchase. I think I'm going to have some fun with her. Should be a great counterpart for Velvet.

This image turned out so well for you my friend! Sometimes it is best to keep your mind busy with creative pursuits as they tend to serve as a conduit that can temporarily create a distraction within your mind, from the most pressing issues in life. My wish to you Lyle...is for you to wake up tomorrow, with better news that impact your life and all those you care so much about! :-)
