pmoores: The rain is a mat, which I made from a 2D drawing of random, white, slanting lines on a black background. In this image it is on a 2D plane between the camera and the rest of the scene.

I like it, simple but effective rain affect. Reminds me of the Nazgul from lord of the rings.
