Description

I have no idea where this came from, but it's 3 manipulations on the bottom image. It's quite large---I think I was trying for the strange 'sweep' of the bottom image. (The bottom is distorted only by the cheaper camera, but for moments, sunrises can get these colors. I've got several shots like this...) I'm still catching up...I'm posting mainly to give some presence here, even though it's old stuff. Hope you enjoy. Have a fine weekend, and stay well, all! mark (this is Lake Michigan, btw) (yeah, like I'm gonna post the Red Sea!) ------------------

What strikes me in the original photo is the line of the horizon and the line on the front of the photo, and I wonder if there is a wall on the beach, because the lines don'' t walk parallel from each other. Yes a wall for sure, looking better. In any case, I find the blue processing the most attractive to look at. This looks like a watercolor painting, and the dancing sun comes here very well "from the paint". A Dutch expression for "striking".

Also the figure on the right can be seen better, while it could be a kind of spirit at the dark processing. Haha, a sudden appearance of something (creepy). I guess this figure is taking a photo, looking at it's attitude. The sun and clouds melt together, go smoothly into each other, like a never ending, deep friendship, and then they go to the sea together, to the waters, to the country, and everything is intertwined to a combination of joy. It is fantasy, of course, but so it could be between people among themselves, anywhere in the world. Who knows, future music. ;-) Take care, dear friend Mark.

The colors are stunning in the original; the sun on the clouds is magnificent. The lone beach visitor creates a quiet and thoughtful mood. The waves are really choppy and they balance the clouds well. The three manipulations are cool. I like them all. The blue is dramatic, the middle pink is trippy, and the top is just really pretty with the slightly softer colors. This feels like it should be one of those old Black-Light posters we used to hang on our bedroom walls.

At first glance, your Lake Michigan images could easily pass for an ocean. I live in San Diego and When I look at the nearby ocean, I witness similar views like these my friend. I could easily get used to seeing your beautiful Lake Michigan!

You did a wonderful artistic job on these images Mark, they all look amazing! :-)

Oh, Mark.... These are all wonderful variations on your little puddle up there in Chicago-land! The original is just gorgeous all on its own, and the lone figure in the photo gives it a wonderful mood and feel of peace and reflection at the beginning of a new day. It makes me want to actually get my lazy butt out of bed earlier in the day...

Then you transform it into a blue dream that says to us, "Just close your eyes, breathe deeply, and imagine what could be.. Then you take us on a Peter Max-esq journey into a colorful, alternate universe with two wonderful variations in purples, pinks, blues, and blacks. What wonderful prints these would make!

Wonderful variations and color explorations that you do so well, buddy! You get things out of those "cheaper" cameras that some folks with big Nikons or Canons couldn't do.

Nice color and shape alterations here, Mark. Serene Lake Michigan and sky as seen under various atmospheric conditions, such as insomnia, LSD-like drugs, blood on the brain, incipient macular degeneration, the earth being absorbed by a black hole, etc.
