next time I take a vacation, I'm gonna see if there are special excursion rates into your imagination...your images have constantly eye-popping, exotic, imaginative, wild, mysterious and colorful people, in equally colorful and (often) wild settings. This lady isn't just wearing a great outfit, she has all kinds of body paint w/ ancient figures and motifs. Plus she stands like she's prepared to take on anything that might threaten her. But, also, your background is filled with dappled light and shadow---in fact you have the greatest light behind her, while she's a mix of shadow and light: well done! And that big tree is the perfect balance for her. Lush, primal and noble. (So, is this in Queens? A few blocks from home? Hey it could happen...NYC is pretty freakin' wild...)

Wow! This is just fantastic, Barb! The sunlight looks so realistic with the high, and very natural contrast between light and shadow - especially in a wooded environment. Trust me - in my photography endeavors I've found it to be a real challenge in that kind of lighting. You nailed it here. Most impressive!
