Love this fae's expression and posture. She looks like she's taking a long needed rest, but maybe she's also frustrated as she waits for something (or someone---who's a wee bit late), or she's just cogitating...love the expression, both in her face and in her body. Really complex pose too---parts of her facing one way, other parts, the other; and I love the positions of her legs. Plus a really imaginative outfit. The shrooms are bold---strong enough to hold her---and you've faded the blooms in front as if this were a real photograph (nice touch), and you have some formidable growth on that log, with a beetle who dropped by...you aways add wonderful small touches all over your images. And her wings form a kind of shield, or a sideways umbrella. We usually see wings in full 'blast', but it's nice to see them tired and resting too. You got real ambiguity and mystery in this. She's got great goth attire and tattoos, etc, but she dwells in a deeper more mysterious place. Wonderful work, Barb. I hope you are well, and ditto your mom and all your loved ones. Hope you haven't had terrible heat, and that you're far from the variants of the virus. (I know you're vaccinated, but good wishes never hurt for any of us.) Always a treat when you post, you have such a unique imagination and sensibility.
