Nice job. The skin tones are better than I can manage. As for the textures, I don't know how you did yours (looks fine, BTW), but here's what I've found works best -- do your colours (the higher-contrast the better), then duplicate that colour layer, fill it with a B/W version of your texture and set it to OVERLAY at about %30-%40.
thanx dude (for ur comments on both pics!) i'll try that out, i kinda did the same but set a distortion map as a channel, to be honest it was a fat headache and took ages. definately give ur way a go methinks! ^____^
Nice choice of color. I'd make the bg yellow or orange though, to make her stand out a bit more. But then i seem to like high contrasts...
nup looks fine to me - 'cept I agree with Orca on the overlay stuff. I tried that technique with my Stoneskin pic but ended up ditching it as it got too much for the pic.
