Description
Hi everyone!
I'm way behind, incl dedis! But today is Barb/goldie's birthday---which is a big deal as I have a world of respect for her! (Happy Birthday, Barb!) However this isn't the dedi! It's coming! Sorry---but I'm still in pain, and trying to catch up on sleep after 7 months of my sister's estate work (and covid and lockdowns and blah blah blah...) So I'm behind...
Anyway Barb: A dedi's on the way! And there are a few other dedis coming soon. I'll get to your galleries soon too (hopefully the next week...)
And btw: This is my VERY FIRST PAINTING! 1955. Watercolors. I was but a tiny tyke, helping me father Paddy in the green fields of Killarney. (Actually I was in Chicago, watching the Cubs lose; but Killarney sounds much better...)
I hope you're all well and healthy. Happy Birthday once more, Barb! Your dedi's forthcoming (along with some others)...A great summer to all! Stay well and inspired, m

So, a little Killarney Blarney, eh? This is a really superb work with a very interesting technique. It looks a little like something seen through frosted glass. I like it a lot. I hope you are taking the time you need to properly mend. You certainly deserve a break.

This is you first painting?? Seriously? I've seen stuff by professional (read as "paid") artists that didn't have anywhere near the wonderful flow and color as this, Mark! A real beauty for Barb's Birthday... And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BARB! She's one of the coolest artists and friends here. As are you, buddy!
Actually Killarney does sound a bit better than watching the Cubs lose (but hey, the Royals won tonight! LOL). 😄
Hope things settle for you, and that nasty pain goes away and bothers someone else - and I can think of several well-known figures I'd love to send it to for a very long time... 😆

This is very pretty. The colors are dramatic and beautiful and the dark trees are simple but effective in the sunset. The blending of the colors is quite striking and natural. I really like this little painting. Take care!
Happy Birthday, Barb!

First off, thanks for remembering my birthday, Mark--I'm getting to be older than dirt--both my parents made it to almost 90, so I guess, if genes have anything to do with it, I still have a ways to go :)
Love your childhood painting--already your artistic talents were emerging. Really like what you did with the beautifully intensely colored sky.
Do take care and get that much needed rest.

Thank you so much for sharing this lovely and fantastic coloured artwork, dear Mark. I think you can see here how your talent springs up with regard to your enthusiastic use of color, it's like being recognized, how you can let dance the colors, let them burst open and in the same time been so harmoniously built up. I'm sorry that I have so little comment on your work, writing is so difficult, I've to restore all sorts of errors. Take care, Mark, I'm hoping your pain will soon go away. You're in my mind and I don't forget to sent you the promised site mail, btw, without the obligation to answer these.;-) Stay well, Mark.
