This really embodies the bargaining under a hot desert sun, and one clearly has the upper hand. Those desert plants are just right. Wow!!!

there have definitely been asiatic themes in your uploads in the last number of weeks, and I've loved the feel of them. This looks like a scene from Northern Africa or the Middle East, and I love the costumes, and the contrast between the stark white of the man on the right and the darker hues of the man on the left. Plus a great bald head (w/ dark beard) compared to a red turbaned head (strong contrast with his white shirt and pants). The sands are bright and open, and the one tree ties it all together, like a 'tree of life' (it has the presence of what most artists portray as a "tree of life"). The camel is just right too, w/ all its fabric-held cargo, and head right in the center of the tree. It looks like the men (the encounter) are contemplating a trade, or a found object..."encounter" is the right word. A very open, bright image, with the feeling of a collision of cultures...very enticing work, barb. You've been roaming off to many far-off lands...but then Queens has many lands right out its front door. It's like you're giving them all flesh, bones and imagination...
Everyone has a great expression on their face, even the camel! This is a wonderful piece. So full of natural Life. And each one has such wonderful fabric textures - even the camel! 😁
