Description
The circle is now complete... We started with a low-poly sci-fi vehicle, we'll end with a low-poly sci-fi vehicle. This time, Vanishing Point's X-Wing fighter. Also included is Vanishing Points R4 Astromech droid which I find very lovely!
Sisters of Chaos Archer is reminiscent of something Ahsoka might wear, and with some pants I think Rachel manages to looks like she's all Jedi business.
It look longer to pose the saber on this one. Why do two-handed poses always got to be so aggravting? I was also having trouble with hameleon's "Easy Pants."
In iray preview, they didn't clip at all. It's a geoshell. Should be no problem. In render, though... another story. I turned displacement off, which helped. I ended up adding a mesh offset modifier of a small amount to get it to work properly with the sandals. Must have canceled six or seven renders trying to get it right. Don't you hate it when a problem comes up that doesn't show in the preview?
I like the ship. I even kinda dig the low resolution textures. I figure, for a model shoot, maybe it was a cardboard model they had her pose with. In any case, I like how it turned out.
That's it for the set! Though I suspect you'll be seeing a new Oversized render in the next couple of days.

Also, i finally decided to give her an eyeball upgrade here. I've got a close-up camera for this setup and I just wasn't happy with her default eyes anymore. So, you guessed it, used Twizted Metal's set. You can't really see it, but it sure do make her peepers prettier!

Thanks! Brought up the scene lights a bit, to be less ominous. No makeup, so she's more natural, and I chose the brown leather mat, because the good guys are always in earth tones.

I'm glad you find it pleasing. I kinda hope they call in Stackpole and Zahn and a couple others and write a new X-Wing series. Current canon pretty much screws over Wedge big time, but they can do that whole "new generation" shtick people like and put together something that will tickle us older fans.
