I apologize for not being around much. I had purchased wireless ear plugs for my phone and they kept falling out of my ears. I returned them for a different model and it had the same problem. I then decided to get over the head earphones. they were way too heavy. I went back for a very light weight type that goes around the neck. well I could not get it to charge. I returned them this morning and traded out for another pair. no problem charging but the audio does not work. not the store's fault and they have been very easy to change them out.
Wednesday on the way to go and walk, got a screw in the edge of the tire treads. I found out the particular model of tire is not easy to get. the second tire shop across the street was able to get one from a neighboring city delivered. put me back by $300.00 because I purchased road hazard warranty on all 4.
I am not in the greatest mood, but lucky I was not trapped on an Interstate Highway. flats will happen, but being off a highway is the best thing
people do not pay attention to their tires. I am always glancing at tires and if I see a nail or screw, I will tell them. many years ago I seen a lady driving her car with a tire almost flat. I got her to pull off the Interstate and put her spare on the car. however I noticed that all of her lug nuts were loose. when I told her someone is trying to kill her, she knew exactly the one that had loosened the nuts. she had her children with her also. luckily for her, there was no accident. I followed her to a tire store since her spare was low on air also
Great view of our endeavors to conquer flight. Sorry for all the hassles you are going through. what's the old saying...when it rains it pours...
My condolences to you and your car. Decades ago I drove a very-used Renault R10 and I remember waiting for weeks while the parts shop searched all over the country for spare parts. Expensive spare parts.
the tire brand is well known, but the model is not stocked by tire stores. your Renault R10 sounds like Cadillacs and Lincolns when parts are needed. of course Mercedes and BMW parts are outrageous for price
Great capture of it, cool POV. I dont use earplugs. Recently got a bluetooth device for my android phone. And works well.
This plane was the reason I came within an inch of becoming an aeronautical engineer ( I swear to god!) but I became a graphic artist/technical illustrator instead (Long story. . .) As for your misfortunes, Richard, well we all have our own such stories (LOL). It's just part of the human saga (heavy sigh. . .)
Excellent photo. As a little boy, I went to an air meeting in Germany, where I saw a Group of 10 Phantom F4 and 4 Starfighters performing formation flying. Germany had a lot of crashes with the Starfighter (well it certainly was not an easy plane to fly with so little wing area) and they got the surname "Widowmaker". Another saying was:"What is the cheapest way to get a full size Starfighter? - buy a few square meters land in Germany!"
Great shot of this beautiful old jet!
really crazy that people have flown these machines voluntarily ... yes a rocket with a human inside
a bit of checkered history it seems, certainly the aerodynamics don't look like much, brave guys who flew this tyres are like shoes, need to be treated with respect :)
One of my bosses is a former Starfighter pilot.
Fantastic capture..and a serious piece of kit... carrying the M61 Vulcan cannon and sidewinder missiles,
Very impressiv shot
nice pov
Love it !!
Beautiful photo of a Cold War classic!
A great thing you did... most of us would not had done all that! "Well done!" cool old jet!
At that time it took a lot of courage to fly this kind of plane. Nice picture.
Vi que já resolveu seu problema dos fones. Excelente captura meu amigo, aplausos (5)
