This is Ankhesenamun, half sister and eventually the wife of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, she lived around 1320 BC (give or take a decade or so). She had a great uncle (although the relationship is unclear) named Ay (pronounced "eye"). Ay was somehow always in the background during her's and Tut's lifetimes. It is believed that he was actually calling the shots during Ankhesenamun's reign as Pharaoh (yes, you heard me correctly) and then again during Tut's reign as Pharaoh. So, one could easily imagine his envy of these two siblings. Even though he was acting as a Pharaoh, he was still living in the shadows of Tut and his half sister. So, I would imagine that the two siblings lived their lives constantly looking over their shoulders to see what their "great uncle" was really up to. Ay did finally get his wish, after the untimely death of Tut. He became Pharaoh in 1323 BC. His reign was short lived, however. It only lasted for 4 years.
